    • Having trained in London, Kevin joined our Essex office in 1985. He heads the firm's employment team in Chelmsford and has specialised in employment law for 30 years. His experience is in all areas of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.

      Kevin has handled a number of high profile employment law cases in Tribunal through to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and into the Court of Appeal. Two such cases have been reported.

      He has dealt with many High Court injunction cases often in the arena of restrictive covenant enforcement.

      Kevin also is particularly well versed in the operation of TUPE. He has considerable recent experience in advising on TUPE in the public sector, particularly with respect to outsourcing from the public sector to the private sector and the attendant pension implications. Kevin advises several national companies on service provision change under TUPE.

      He was appointed to sit as an Employment Judge in the Employment Tribunals in 2002 and continues to sit on a part-time basis on all types of cases.

      Kevin has also developed a practise in the arena of sports law acting for a well known football club and a county cricket club where he has recently been advising on a variety of matters including match fixing issues.

      Kevin is also very well known in the sector as a very effective public speaker and trainer and has for 15 years regularly been a speaker at seminars as well as providing bespoke in house training for clients.

      Kevin is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Council of Employment Judges (CEJ).
