    • Georgina joined Birketts in September 2012, having read Law at the University of Leeds and completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London, Bloomsbury.

      Her first training seat was in the corporate/employment department in Ipswich gaining experience in assisting in contract drafting including business sale agreements and all aspects of company procedure and formation as well as assisting the employment department in contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Georgina has also completed training in the private client/ family departments in Ipswich assisting in will drafting, Lasting Powers of Attorney, administration of estates, the divorce process, finances and aspects of private children law. Georgina’s third seat was in the Agriculture/private client department in Cambridge, where she assisted in various aspects of agricultural land law including gaining experience in drafting transfers of property, first registration of property, partition agreements and both the sale and purchasing of agricultural property.

      Georgina's fourth training seat was in the Commercial Property department in the Ipswich Office, where she further developed her skills in negotiating contracts and assisting in all aspects of commercial conveyancing.

    • Georgina has gained experience in volunteering and giving advice in a range of matters at the Law Advice Centre in Ipswich. Georgina was elected to the Suffolk and North Essex Junior Lawyers Division as Secretary in November 2013 and helps to organise events for the junior lawyers in the area.
