    • Rory is a solicitor in the firm’s construction and engineering department. He qualified as a solicitor in September 2014 after undertaking his training contract at Birketts.

      Rory deals with a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious construction matters, acting for individuals and corporate entities.

      Rory has been involved in claims in the County Court and Technology and Construction Court and is able to provide advice on different forms of alternative dispute resolution. Rory also deals with adjudications involving issues such as recovery of interim/final payments and claims for extensions of time, loss and expense and defects.

      Contentious experience

      Non-contentious experience

      Rory advises on non-contentious construction matters, including: drafting, reviewing and negotiating standard form contracts (such as JCT, ICE, NEC, GC/Works,ACE RIBA, RICS) and bespoke contracts.

      He also drafts bespoke terms and conditions for employers, contractors and sub-contractors.

      Rory has been involved in a number of development projects involving bank funding acting for both developers and funders.
