  • Experience
    • Georgia joined Birketts in September 2015 and is currently undertaking her fourth training seat in the Private Client Team in our Ipswich office.

      Georgia also completed her third training seat in the Private Client Team. Georgia assisted the team with a range of different matters, including drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and providing advice to clients in relation to Inheritance Tax. Georgia was also responsible for managing a number of probate files. 

      Georgia completed her second training seat in the Commercial Property Team in Chelmsford. She gained experience in drafting leases, contracts, transfers and reports on title. She was also responsible for numerous complex Land Registry applications. 

      Georgia spent the first six months of her training contract in the Employment Team in Chelmsford. She assisted colleagues on a wide range of matters, including drafting and reviewing settlement agreements and employment contracts, as well as providing advice to clients on a variety of employment issues. Georgia also gained experience in preparing a matter for litigation and attended the employment tribunal. 

      Georgia graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2014 with a first class degree in Law. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at BPP in Holborn, where she achieved a distinction. Georgia completed electives in employment law, family law and advanced commercial litigation. Throughout her time at university, Georgia volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau and participated in the Innocence Project.

    • In her spare time, Georgia takes classes in ballet, yoga and pilates. She also enjoys baking and swimming.
