Louise Buttery

Solicitor and Collaborative Lawyer
  • Experience
    • Louise is a solicitor and collaborative lawyer in our family team in Chelmsford, specialising in:

Louise is a committed member of Resolution, locally and nationally, dedicated to supporting families with reaching constructive, amicable solutions to family issues. She ensures clients receive tailored advice and support, enabling them to move forward with their lives.

Louise is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in ‘Complex Financial Remedies 1’ and ‘Children Law – Private.’ This demonstrates specialist knowledge in advising on practical solutions to financial issues and resolving disputes in child arrangements. She has a particular interest in applications for children to be relocated, whether within England and Wales or abroad, regularly representing both applicants (who wish to move) and respondents (who wish to oppose a move).

Louise is trained in collaborative practice, a method of resolving family issues without the involvement of the Court. Each party appoints their own collaboratively trained lawyer and works together to reach the best resolution for their family.

Louise recognises that collaborative practice is not always appropriate. Each client’s circumstances are unique; Louise uses different methods of dispute resolution to suit individual requirements.
